They added up 12 variant spellings to put it in the number one spot. There are 2 common variant spellings of my given name in English, and there are versions of my name in all European languages. I'm sure if you added them all up my name would jump one or two places in the popularity parade of American baby names. It's hard for me to freak out about baby names in the UK when common sense tells me many of these kids will change their name, go by a nickname, or use a middle name when they are older.
