In case you hadn't caught a hard ball with your bare hands lately, let me remind you that 60 mph is really fast.

I understand that, hitting a dog at that speed cost me a couple of grand mostly because my silly headlights are expensive, and it was a big dog.  That car is torn to hell from hitting the guardrail.  I'm willing to bet he was going a little faster than he's admitting.  With the damage on both sides that thing almost looks like it was rolled.  I doubt he's running on bald tires, if I had that kind of money I'd replace the tires every time I was halfway through the tread life.  What do you want to bet he was going 30% faster than he's admitting and that's why he hydroplaned and did so much damage?

I doubt it; the composites used for the body of that car were designed to be ultra-light weight and provide rigidity under high-speed down force.  Secondary requirements were lateral strength during cornering; zero consideration to integrity of the shape in the event of driver failure; that is what the cage is for and according to reports the cage performed as spec'd.

God forbid he made money being right when you were wrong; afterall achievement via effort is blasphemy to you.

Amazing colusions of machinery and art never cease to be cool; in fact - if not for pussy that goal in and of itself would be the true definition of mankind.

I'll settle for the Kitty.

Truly, this is about taste.

For vehicles I prefer a pre 1990 LandCruiser or a pre 1970 LandRover.  Utilitarian, and tough as nuts.

Just go stand on the shoulder of any freeway and watch the carefree cars go by at 100 feet per second. Now imagine what happens when they hit something.

My idea for speeding tickets involves both massive fines and being tied to a stake just inches from the slow lane traffic on a free flowing freeway.
