At five-years-old Harley was shaving her armpits and legs. "Her face and hands were appearing puffy – the nurse noticed she was developing breasts.”
I'm not sure whether this is good news or bad for pedophiles.

Probably bad news. The whole reason pedophiles find kids hot is they don’t have pubes.

She was stunned when medics told her Ellie-May - now eight - needed hormone injections to stave off puberty.
Harley Tedds, now ten, also has the painful jabs.
Oh, boo hoo. My niece developed diabetes younger than that and needs painful jabs to stave off imminent death. On the plus side, she isn't afflicted with the name Ellie-May.

I'm not reading that there's any associated development of the brain. Didn't we hear something similar last year about too much BGH in the MickeyD's doing something similar? After that, it was soy, which either made you effeminate or gay (no, we're not glugging the Kikkoman here, but please take that link with a grain of salt). We're exposed to so many chemicals that can mess with hormones, but I'm still wondering how much a three year-old can possibly consume to notice an effect, and why they're feeding it to her in the first place.

It's soy. The US stuff is loaded with estrogens. My son's NEVER see it in our house.

Yeah, just fucking firearms. Don't you realize that guns have long been analogous with penises? Somehow I doubt it.

Yeah, so have rockets, cigars and trains going into tunnels.
Sorry. Not rising to the bait.
My sons are growing up like healthy young boys, and doing just fine thanks. I appreciate your concern.

I wrote for Soybean Digest, a trade magazine out of St. Louis, for several years in the 80s and the issue never came up. Could you point me to some reference?

Other than the highly dubious link I offered, you might also find this intriguing. The soy-makes-you-gay thing is bullshit. That still won't stop religious fundies from blaming it and anything else they can think of.

Mr. Rutz claims that "Soy is feminizing, and commonly leads to a decrease in the size of the penis---
If soy products caused a decrease in penis size, San Francisco would have laws against the possession, sale, and consumption of soy products within the city limits.

And I can assure you there is no dearth of large penises in San Francisco. Ahem.

I know. I used to work for a few of them.

From Wiki:
Phytoestrogen
Soybeans contain isoflavones called genistein and daidzein, which are some of primary sources of phytoestrogens in the human diet that mimic estrogen....
Soy and the brain
It is known that estrogen aids in protecting the brain and helping it recover after injury. The mimicry of estrogen by the phytoestrogens in soy introduces a controversy over whether such a replacement is harmful or helpful to the brain. Several studies have found soy to be harmful for male rats. One study often cited was a study that followed over 3000 Japanese men between 1965 and 1999, and that showed a positive correlation between brain atrophy and consumption of tofu. This study was rejected as not credible by the Food and Drug Administration when it issued its health claim for soy: "25 grams of soy protein a day, as part of a diet low in saturated fat and cholesterol, may reduce the risk of heart disease."
Journal of Clinical Science:
The results of the present study led to the conclusion that the isoflavone dosage (40 mg) in the supplement, which is similar to the amounts consumed in many Eastern nations [36], had no effect on gonadotrophin or sex hormone levels or on semen quality. However, the studies in experimental animals suggest that exposure to phytoestrogens in the developmental period is not advisable.

Estrogens
Estrogens and estrogen derivatives are found in use in the pharmaceutical industry (oral contraceptive pills and, in the past, DES—diethylstilbestrol), DDT, chlordecone, and phytoestrogens (mainly in soy beans). It is known that estrogen derivatives affect the development of sertoli cells in the testicles. These cells secrete hormones that regulate the production of sperm, the descent of the testicles into the scrotum, and urethral development6). Synthetic estrogen, DES, which was used from the 1940’s to the 1970’s in the treatment of threatened abortions and the prevention of miscarriages, was discovered to be a factor in decreased sperm counts and testicular cancer in boys born to treated mothers. The effect of estrogens on adult males is less clear, but there are reports of hormone imbalance in men who work in the oral contraceptive industry34), and of a decrease in sperm count in workers with chlordecone poisoning.
