Postscript:  The author was recently fired from his job at CNN.  He says he worked there about three years.  He was fired for having a blog.

OK, I had no idea who Pat O'Brien is. I looked him up. I still have no idea who Pat O'Brien is but I do like the monkey.

Now, back to George's post. During my years as a print journalist, I had the great pleasure of working with scores of talented, intelligent, thoughtful people along with the occasional doofus. All my encounters with television, um, journalists however only underscore what George's guy said. I've never met a more shallow, feeble minded group of people in my life, unless it was fundamentalist Christians.

Generalities aside, those who can...

Anyone working in media today has long since learned to suck dick and like it, unless they already have enough suck; say, the likes of George Carlin, Chris Rock, Opra Winfry. All the rest? Craven, venal idiots. Ted Knight, Mary Tyler Moore's teevee 'anchor', was just as genuine 35 years ago. And just as dead.

He's an interviewer on one of these "celebrity insider" shows, but hit a little snag when some phone calls became public.
