An Oregon couple received a frightening phone call from their son in Afghanistan when he inadvertently called home during battle...[His phone] redialed and called his parents.
It's three minutes, the audio is as bad as you'd expect, and the cussing doesn't start until over a minute in:
Found on Quizlaw. Luckily, the soldier in question survived (this time).

I, for sure, am a bit old school perhaps; but if I caught one my troops fucking around with his phone device instead of using official commo and paying attention to the situation at hand, he would not be happy when it was over.

The way I heard it the phone was in his pocket. It came on and dialed when he leaned against his humvee. Still, cell phones should not be allowed on patrol. It's real annoying when some bozo's cell phone rings in the middle of a fire fight and distracts everyone. It's so inconsiderate.

The source site states that his phone was pressed against his vehicle, not that he was attempting to use it purposefully. These things happen when you're getting woolied.
