She puts up with it. Only God knows why. I know he gives her roles in his movies, but he makes her look like a moron. Meanwhile, she makes him look like a...well, see above.

Woody Allen hasn't made a good movie since Annie Hall, and that was a hell of a long time ago.
Scarlett up there hasn't made a good movie, period.

I actually liked her in Lost in Translation. She did a good job in sort of a geeky awkward role, I thought. Then suddenly somebody (or maybe a whole lot of somebodies) decided that she was a sex symbol, and I never quite got that, but it seemed to be downhill from there.

She was adequate in Lost in Translation because the role didn't require much acting. She's not the most awful actress I've ever seen, but the hype is hardly commensurate with her abilities. It'd be easier to take if she didn't appear to believe the hype herself.

The same awkwardness that made Lost in Translation and Pearl Earring work must have been what drew Woody to her. But then the boob job came and now she just seems to spend her days strutting for the red carpet camera.
