If the symptoms aren't bad enough that it sends them to the doctor, why does it matter?

Just because the stomach pain and diarrhea isn’t bad enough to send me to the doctor or hospital doesn’t make it OK!  I am not a masochist!  I don’t enjoy being in pain or racing for the toilet before I shit my pants!  Food poisoning also means I have to worry about the diarrhea medication interacting with my regular meds and the worry that I’m shitting out my meds before adequate amounts have been absorbed into my bloodstream.

For the sake of us all, let us not fuck with Fnord's delicate med balance....

Do it for the children!

You laugh Ptah, but my meds aren’t for crimes against conventionally acceptable thought patterns.  A psychologist would probably not consider me normal, but I’m able to do a convincing mimicry of normalcy when necessary and at any rate would never voluntarily take psychiatric meds.  My meds are for more serious issues.

You see, our design specifications call for an average lifespan of 35-40 years.  After that, malfunctions start to occur that require surgical or chemical intervention to keep things from completely breaking down.  If you live long enough, you will understand all too well what I’m talking about.  Not taking my meds or an inadequate blood level of them could permanently deprive you of the pleasure of interacting with me.

Fuck, dude. I was only kidding with ya.

I wouldn't want to be deprived of the pleasure of one minute of your existence.

Better living through pharmacology, I always say!
