I almost electrocuted myself in the shower one time.

You see, when an appliance or piece of electronics dies, I like to take it apart and yank out whatever parts catch my fancy.  Once, I found myself in possession of a crapped out microwave, so I tore into it and pulled out the fan, the turntable motor, and the power electronics.

It's a fantastic fan.  Brushless AC motor, really moves a lot of air.  Great fan.  One day, I had the fan (with exposed motor) wedged into the kitchen window.  I was drunk, and the air conditioner was out, and it was Georgia in summer, so I went to take a nice cool shower.

There's a window in my shower, because I live in a shitbox apartment.  Before getting into the shower, I reached over and opened the window.  After a bit of showering, I decided to close the window.

I touched the window, and immediately felt the invigorating sensation of alternating current.  However, I was drunk, so I felt unsure that it had really happened, and did it again, just to be sure.

Yep.  Shocked the hell out of myself.  Analysis of the situation revealed that one of the power leads on the fan was touching the aluminum window frame, which was touching the flashing below the roof outside, which was touching the bathroom window.  I didn't get shocked when I first opened the window because the shower wasn't yet running, so I was not grounded by the water flowing over my body and into the drainpipe.

A tree near my house got hit by lightning whilst I was in the bathtub... my foot was on the faucet... bzzzzzzzzzzzzz...

Actually, for many of you, that probably explains a lot.

Uses of Aluminum: Kitchen utensils, building decorations, electrical transmission (not nearly as conductive as copper, but cheaper).
