This reminds me of a case that happened in Louisiana. Not long before Katrina hit, a church there was accused of devil worship and child rape. Several of the church leaders were accused of crimes reminiscent of the recovered memories cases from the 80s. By the time Katrina rolled in, charges had been dropped against all but one of the defendants, IIRC. I had the Times-Picayune website bookmarked so as to keep tabs on the case. It had been a national story until they began dropping defendants from the case. Post Katrina I've read nothing about the case. It makes me wonder if this newer crime involves any recovered memories.

Still I've found no follow ups, just the initial shock piece.

What I want to know is if that cop who killed his wife and then clearly killed his previous wife is still walking around free, which I am sure he is.
That patterson guy or whatever his name was? Its so freaking obvious that he did it! I can't wait until they find the body. The last update I read about that case was how that guy was getting REMARRIED to some young girl again!
