4% of voters say they believe “lizard people” control our societies by gaining political power
That's a depressingly high number.
In fact, this whole list depresses the shit out of me. My only sliver of hope is that perhaps the pollees were just lying to fuck with the stats. I know quite a few people who do that.

I hate to break it to ya, Georgie but it's true. I've got Youtube evidence.

I have always wondered why the conspiracy videos always have the robotic voiceovers. Is it because they don't want to be found by the Illuminati and zapped into a pile of dust or that they don't want people to realize they are really 14 years old and squeeking through puberty?

Watch They Live again and shut the fuck up. It's a good thing that people believe it's a documentary.

I hate that movie with every fiber of my being, right up there with Videodrome.

On the other hand, the South Park "Cripple Fight' homage to "They Live" was solid gold.

Why does everyone always assume that the illuminati wants to gain or keep CONTROL of things?
Has Bob taught you nothing? The illuminati wants chaos because chaos is the natural order. Control is not natural. Control tries to fight off entropy but always loses. Entropy is, of course, always trying to return to chaos.
Besides all that, someone has to write the love songs and the poetry as well as the math books and the intercontinental ballistic missiles.

Actually, the original group of "enlightened ones", which is all Illuminati means, were anything but masters of chaos. They opposed superstition, prejudice and religious influence over public life.
It was only later that they took on the role of the "bad guys" while whatever flavor-of-the-month protagonists were the "good guys".
Some of the tin-foil hat brigade assert that, much as in the Bible, The Devil is really God, while God is really The Devil (and God certainly wins the mass-murder contest hands, down), the Illuminati were and still are constantly fighting for our freedom from superstition, prejudice and religious influence. e.g. Richard Dawkins is a member of the Illuminati.

I find this odd. They Live irritates me because it's a shitty waste of a terrific premise; but I really liked Videodrome. I like all of Cronenberg's movies.

28% of voters believe Saddam Hussein was involved in the 9/11 attacks. 36% of Romney voters believe Saddam Hussein was involved in 9/11, 41% do not
And here I thought fully 50% of voters, statistically, were of below average intelligence.
