This poor guy was busted and convicted about 10 years ago for obscenity in Florida...
Can't see why

Edit:  This picture switched to URL in the interests of choad's puckerstar.  Don't hate the player, hate the legislative game.

I've just started drawing-- I'm in my late 30s-- I'm really a programmer who assumed he had no talent. That drawing is possibly better than a lot of stuff I could produce-- but I would never let it escape into the wild.

It sucks.

So does all his"professional' work. It really makes me question my aesthetic. *So* much professional art is utter shit. Why should I be coding for a living when I could be doing utter shit like this?

I'm embarrassed even to know about that, yet I discoverred it though an art site I like.

What is art?

Apparently, sometimes it's shit. And apparently shit pays the rent.

Sure, go out and make shit and see who buys it.  The ultimate cruelty about art is that sometimes a chimp can smear feces and people will buy it for money, but I guarantee that you'll die penniless if you decide to pursue an art career because it's not that shit sells, it's that God puts successful assholes and talentless hack millionaires out there like financial satyrs, whose only purpose is to try to lure people into that "hey, I could do that" mentality and then kill them in the wilderness where nobody can hear their screams.  And maybe you can do that, but the chances that you can make a living off of it are slim to none.  If you don't really like the art, it's not worth it.

I think I saw crap like this scribbled into the back of my high-school algebra book way back in 1971.

It's often more about the writing than the pictures.
