I though airlines raised their prices.  How could a family of white trash inbred miscreants afford to fly their whole genetically defective brood anywhere?

Obviously, this made news here because they yanked them off the flight in Phoenix, but it's another autistic kid, if I'm not mistaken, plus three others who were still bouncing off the walls by the time the cameras got there. Maybe they didn't have a wide enough seat on the connecting flight for the mother. She admits the kids were out of control, so they were probably trying to spare the others on the plane. I think what the airline did was eminently fair. If you travel with kids, and you can't take the chance that your flight will be cancelled or delayed (through no fault of your own, usually), then you shouldn't be traveling with kids like that.

Exactly. Travel with someone else's kids, instead.

If your kids are that special needs, they should ride the short bus everywhere they need to go. Hawaii included.

SWA's entire fleet is 737s...wouldn't be surprised if the captain got a gander at the broads at the head of that brood, decided he didn't want to be fiddling the trim wheel for the whole flight...

I figured this was a fellow whose opinion some Streeters might appreciate:

Michael Savage, the incendiary radio host who last week characterized nearly every child with autism as “a brat who hasn’t been told to cut the act out,” said in a telephone interview on Monday that he stood by his remarks and had no intention of apologizing to those advocates and parents who have called for his firing over the matter.

“My main point remains true,” Mr. Savage, whose radio audience ranks in size behind only those of Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity, said in the interview. “It is an overdiagnosed medical condition. In my readings, there is no definitive medical diagnosis for autism.”

On the July 16 installment of his program, which is broadcast every weekday, Mr. Savage suggested that “99 percent of the cases” of autism were a result of lax parenting... (source)

Michael Savage is an ignorant asshole, but he's still better than Jenny McCarthy and her boyfriend Jim Carrey who tell the world that vaccinating your children causes autism.....

How good is your memory, Goob?

Better question is, how many kids were there in your family?

I am the oldest of four and the antithesis of hyperactive but have a viseral memory of meltdown potential, where one more little noodge would...

Yeah, well, my parents were and remain tards. And all children are evil.

An echo from my kiddom: "Kill yourselves if you want but do it outside."

There were four of us as well, my parents had figured it out though before we went into any public building they had us racing up and down the sidewalk for a good five minutes, we were usually fairly subdued after that.

Oh and mom was quick with the backhand also...

Yeah, I thought I'd heard that about her book, vis a vis their talk show appearances and whatnot. If I recall their "treatment" properly, they also advocate a gluten free diet, as if the child has celiac disease or something of that ilk. One could say Savage is "better" only because he's talking out his ass, not subjecting his own rugrats to a Playboy Playmate's version of health psychology.
